We are always seeking qualified musicians for our organization

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Orlando Concert Band! We are eager to meet you and hear you play. Please read the following information:

You must first contact us prior to coming to a rehearsal so we know to expect you! Our audition process is quite simple: you play with us for up to four rehearsals, after which the Board of Directors and the principal player of your section decide whether to have you continue with us. If there is a concert scheduled during your audition period, the musical director will determine whether you will perform that concert. You will be notified in writing shortly after the Board of Directors takes its vote.

We have two levels of membership: full-time active and substitute.

Active membership is reserved for those who are available and willing to participate in weekly rehearsals and scheduled performances. Also, applicants are not accepted as active members unless or until there is a vacancy in the section for which they have applied. Our annual dues for active members are $25.00, and are waived for the first calendar year of memberships.

Substitute membership is for those who cannot make a full-time commitment, but who can be available for a concert should an active member be unavailable. When needed, substitute members will be asked to attend a specific number of rehearsals, as determined by the Music Director, to prepare for a concert. Substitute members may request active status when vacancies occur in the appropriate section. Substitute members are not required to pay annual dues.

We rehearse every Thursday evening, year-round, from 7:30pm - 9:30pm in Orlando.
