The Orlando Concert Band (orlandoconcertband.org) offers an exciting “Summer Band Camp” from June 29th thru July 4th.  It’s an opportunity for Central Florida high school instrumental musicians to improve their skills through clinics, rehearsals, and performances with outstanding area professional musicians.  

The program provides five days of music education experiences in the new band room of The First Academy, to include a rehearsal with the 48-piece Orlando Concert Band.  Next, the band campers play a Saturday morning “OCB Pep Band” gig in Winter Park at Track Shack’s Watermelon 5K Road Race.   That evening, band camp musicians perform with the full Orlando Concert Band in the Eola Park Band Shell as part of a gala concert for the City of Orlando’s  annual July 4th “Fireworks at the Fountain”.
